Experience
Sue Carrette (MCDI) has 30+ years of experience across a range of sectors including education, business, and heritage. She has worked significantly in the field of professional and career development with adults, within higher education, including most recently for the LSE Careers Service, where she received an Excellence in Education Award.
Sue has worked with and for, organisations diverse in size and mission, from a major city employer with a staff of 10,000+ to a small national association with a team of seven. She has lived – and worked – through major externally driven organisational change and merger, re-structure, redundancy, poor - and excellent! – management, and personal loss.
For the last 20 years Sue has actively pursued a portfolio career across the education and heritage sectors, alongside salaried roles. This has included engagement with the zero hours ‘gig economy’ which has broadened her experience of contemporary work issues.
In addition to substantial practical experience, Sue is a member of the Career Development Institute (CDI) and her career development approach is underpinned by solid theoretical knowledge.
